Confidentiality
Everyone is entitled to confidentiality regardless of age. You can talk to a nurse or doctor in confidence; we are not allowed to tell. If you are under 16 we will still keep your information confidential. However, we would encourage you to discuss your problems and treatment with your parents/ guardian. We follow clear guidelines. We can still treat you if you choose not to discuss things with your parents/ guardian.
The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information without your permission would be to protect you or someone else from serious harm. We would always try and discuss this with you first.
If you have any worries about confidentiality, please feel free to ask a member of staff.
