Prescriptions at Wembury Surgery

Wembury Surgery is a Dispensing Surgery. This means most patients are able to collect their medication direct from the Surgery Dispensary.

Repeat medications for all patients are issued on a calendar monthly basis in line with NHS England guidance. The only exceptions to this are contraceptives and some types of hormone replacement therapy. This may be different to what you have experienced previously but on the basis of guidelines, equity and minimising wastage, this is our Practice Policy.

How to order a repeat prescription

To request a repeat prescription, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right option for you.

Routine Repeat Prescriptions are available 2 working days from when you request them providing the request has been made before 1300. Please note we are not able to take verbal or phone requests.

Request your prescription in person - use your repeat slip ensuring that the items you require are clearly ticked. There is an post box in the entrance to the surgery.
